4 Healthy Smoothie Recipes & Tribest Blender Review!

4 Healthy Smoothie Recipes & Tribest Blender Review!

Hello! So last month I showed you some of my favourite juice recipes and in this blog post I thought I’d show you some of my favourite smoothie recipes using this amazing new DynaPro blender from Tribest which they have kindly lent me.

I absolutely love smoothies and have them almost everyday for a breakfast on the go. They also make a perfect pre or post workout snack and today I’m going to share with you 4 of my personal favourites.

But first to tell you a bit about the blender itself; the Dynapro is an amazing heavy duty blender which blends everything from soups to hummus and smoothies too with the press of just one button. This is one of the quickest blenders that I have ever used and as well as being BPA free it also comes with a stainless steel scoop for easy access to your blended ingredients.

The Dynapro blender also has a special ‘Vacuum Lid’, which is designed to work with the handheld Vacuum Pump (which comes in the box), to help reduce oxidation by removing air before blending. Less oxidation means more nutrients and enhanced flavours in your smoothies.

So on to the recipes and first up is an all natural protein shake. This smoothie is ideal to have on a day that you work out as the protein in it will help to support muscle repair.

All Natural Protein Shake

Ingredients

  • 250ml of almond milk
  • 1 banana (you can freeze it first for a creamier smoothie)
  • 150g of natural yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp nut butter
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (soaked for 20 mins in 3 tbsp water)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients to your blender (milk first!)
  2. Blend until smooth
  3. Serve!

Next up is an Apple Pie Smoothie. This smoothie honestly tastes like dessert in a glass it is so delicious and it’s packed with fibre too for a healthy heart.

Apple Pie Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 250ml of unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cored apple
  • a handful of oats
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 a tbsp of honey

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients to your blender (milk first!)
  2. Blend until smooth
  3. Serve!

My third smoothie recipe is a Chocolate and Hazelnut Shake. This smoothie is like a healthier version of a chocolate spread and tastes so indulgent!

Chocolate Hazelnut Shake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup or 250ml of hazelnut milk
  • 1 banana (again frozen for a creamier smoothie)
  • 1-2 medjool dates
  • 1.5 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients to your blender (milk first!)
  2. Blend until smooth
  3. Serve!

For my last smoothie recipe I’m actually going to show you how to make a smoothie bowl.

Berry Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1/2 a cup or 125ml-200ml of milk (enough to help the ingredients to blend)
  • 1 cup or 130g of frozen berries
  • 1/2 a sliced frozen banana.
  • Optional ingredients include 2 tbsp of acai powder, a small handful of spinach and/or a scoop of whey protein.
  • Toppings: more berries, desiccated coconut, pumpkin seeds and ground flaxseeds

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients into a blender (milk first!) and blend until thick and smooth.
  2. Once blended pour your smoothie into a bowl and top it with your favourite ingredients including some more berries, desiccated coconut and ground flaxseeds!
