Smoothies are a great way of getting a whole lot of goodness in just one glass, and this Green Monster super Smoothie recipe has to be one of the most nutritious of all. At first I didn’t believe that a smoothie made with GREEN VEGETABLES could taste good but oh my how I was wrong.. this smoothie is super delicious as well as being nutritious and even my sister agrees!
This green monster smoothie is crammed with antioxidants, vitamins (including vitamins A & C), minerals (including calcium & iron) and fibre and provides just 98 calories per glass (this recipe serves 2).
You can also add a scoop of protein powder to make it the perfect *post work-out* smoothie!

Aw thank you for your comment!
This is gorgeous! So nice that I drunk both servings & then made some more.
I even convinced my non-breakfasting non-fruit loving teenager to try it & he loved it too!
Guess that’s his breakfast sorted from now on 🙂

Hurray! Thanks for your great comment Hayley, so glad you like it!
Wow this was so tasty! Looks a little weird (husband asked why I was drinking algae!). And the ingredients were cheap too! Healthy and inexpensive breakfast works for me!

Hi Rhian! Aw thanks so much for your comment, so glad to hear you liked it. Hehe, that’s so funny- you should look out for my summer green smoothie being blogged this weekend!!
Tried this with frozen blueberries and it was delicious! Then added a few more and poured it into Ice Lolly moulds – just as nice and my 6 year old loves it too! (although fortunately for me he loves spinach anyway, so doesn’t need to be tricked!!)
