Zingy Frozen Grapes

Grapes are bursting with anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals and they are super delicious and low in calories too – perfect for those trying to lose weight. I find the red grapes slightly tastier than the green however that’s just personal preference!

 

A handful of grapes counts as a portion of fruit and because I can have a habit of eating a whole punnet of grapes at once, I found that a way to slow my self down was to freeze them first. If you haven’t already tried them, frozen grapes are amazing – so juicy and crunchy. A perfect healthy snack!

 

Some may liken frozen grapes to ‘boiled sweets’ however there is something else (virtually calorie free) that you can do to them to make them even sweeter and more like sweets.. ‘what is it?’ .. I’ll show you..

 

Ingredients

  • Seedless grapes
  • Sugar-free jelly powder (I chose orange flavour!)

Frozen grapes

Method

Step 1

Rinse your grapes in water

Step 2

Pop the wet grapes in a small bag and pour in a packet of sugar-free jelly powder

Step 3

Shake/massage to coat the grapes

Step 4

*Freeze* for a couple of hours or over-night!

    Absolutely LOVE this idea! I tried it and from now on I am going to be doing this with grapes all the time! I’m going to experiment and use different flavours of jelly powder too. Such a lovely healthy snack! They stopped me from having mid afternoon cravings. Brilliant idea :)

    All out of grapes so I tried this with sliced banana and stawberry flavour jelly instead. Delicious!

    Ooh, everyone has said how nice frozen grapes are, so may just have to try this. Glad to see you’re not against sugar free jelly, or is it better as a coating than making up into a jelly?

      I love making SF jelly (especially with diet lemonade or with frozen fruits for extra nice-ness!) but yes the crystals taste great on the grapes. Super sweet and sugar free :) x
