Tefal Infiny Press Juicer Review

Tefal Infiny Press Juicer Review

I have a new product review for you this week.. The Tefal Infiny Press (aka Juicer!). Tefal asked me to give their juicer a go after they read my blog post on ‘Blending Versus Juices’ in a quest to convert me from my preference for smoothies!! So, let’s see how I got on!

P.S To see my favourite juicing recipes so far [click here].

The Benefits of Juicing

Juicing involves extracting most of the water from fruits and vegetables, along with essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants whilst leaving the fibre (pulp) behind. Juices are a great way of giving your body a nutrient boost, and without the fibre you can pack more fruit and veg into a single serving. Juicing involves whole foods, aka foods that have been processed or refined as little as possible and are free from additives or other artificial substances. Using whole foods means that the end result is a super healthy drink free from added sugars, salt and other hidden nasties – if you don’t add it when you make it then it won’t be there when you drink it!

I promote having home-made juices as a part of a healthy and balanced diet – fruit and vegetable juices make the perfect edition to breakfast or a super healthy snack replacement! And oh, regarding 100% juice diets .. well, if you know me then you’ll know that I do NOT advocate them .. they are deficient in protein and fibre as well as calcium (amongst other things!!) and you can read more about them [here] from my friend and dietitian Helen.

Tefal Infiny Press Review

The Tefal Infiny Press

Compared to a standard juicer, the Tefal Infiny Press reports to give you 30% more juice, 35% more of vitamin C (essential for the immune system!) and 75% more antioxidants (to keep us healthy). Whether it’s a refreshing breakfast juice, a mid-morning fresh fruit drink or adding the finishing touches to that scrumptious dessert, the Infiny Press can make it and it’s compact in size and shape too as well as being relatively quiet when it’s working its magic (check out my Instagram page for a video!)!

Cleaning up is fairy easy (one of my fears when I used to think of juicing!) as whilst pressing the fruit, the juicer dries out and ejects any waste, meaning limited washing up. All the removable parts (the filters, the screw etc) are dishwasher-safe, however I find them super easy to just rinse under the tap with the brush provided, so no need to worry about lots of washing up (a common complaint about other juicers!), just relax and enjoy your tall glass of fruity goodness!

Tefal Review

How does it work?

The slowly rotating screw mechanism presses fruits, vegetables and even herbs very delicately to get the very best out of them. This gentle pressing process preserves as much flavour and vitamin goodness as possible by making full use of all the resources the fruit or vegetable has to offer. This helps you to produce thirst-quenching, fresh juice that is full of nutrients and tastes delicious.

You can have your drink your way as there’s two different stainless steel filters to give you an infinite number of textures and tastes:

  • The orange filter is for juices and smoothies. Use it to instantly transform any fruit or vegetable, hard or soft, into juice. Even delicious delicate red fruits are pressed gently, retaining all the flavour.
  • The pink filter will make outstanding coulis and sauces by allowing slightly more of the fruits pulp through the filter to give a thicker result.. yum!

What are my Favourite Juices to Make?

I love combining both vegetables and fruits in my juices – check out [this recipe post] for inspiration.. I did try out Tefal’s “Refreshing Vegetable Juice” which you would love if you like tomato juice! To make it simply juice 4 tomatoes, 1 cucumber (peeled), 4 lemons & 1/4 bunch of mint!

Some fruits and vegetables that are great for juicing include; oranges, apples, pears, pineapple, grapes, tomatoes, carrots, celery, cucumber and beetroot. It can be difficult to extract juice from some fruit and vegetables such as bananas, avocados, aubergines and figs – but you can always blend bananas/avocados into the juice after!

What do you do with the Pulp?

The pulp aka fruit and vegetable fibre can be mixed into salads or soups, or (my favourite) mixed with cream cheese to make a delicious creamy vegetable spread! I love this on crackers for lunch :). Do let me know if you have any other suggestions!

Tefal juicer

My Verdict?

I love a kitchen gadget that makes ‘healthy living’ easy, and this juicer certainly does that. This juicer would be great for people with a kitchen large enough to keep it out on the side as a reminder to use it as well as a dishwasher for easy cleaning (although the parts are really easy to rinse clean using the brush provided). It’s great for using up fresh vegetables and fruits that need to be eaten and it’s a fab way of helping you to achieve at least one of your five a day (we should be eating AT LEAST 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day.. a portion is roughly a handful!). It’s also fun and easy to use.. Over all it’s a thumbs up from me!

I have a Breville juicer… I love it but it is so bulky and takes up a lot of space

Ah! Yes I love my Tribest Personal Blender too as it doesn’t take up much space either! xx

I do have a juicer but the Tefal one looks way more modern! I haven’t juiced in so long I might start again!

There’s nothing more that gets me excited about juicing than reviews like this! I appreciate you taking the time to let us know if it’s worth the investment and by the looks of it, it’s amazing!! I was concerned about it not juicing the greens (as I have a hard time with my Breville juicer) but this looks great! Hopefully I get mine soon to bring my daily juice to another level!

    Thanks Nics!!
