Product Launch: The Savoury 9bar

Product Launch: The Savoury 9bar

If you’ve read my 9 bar review then you’ll know that I’m a massive fan of the brand and I’ve just had the news (and seen/tasted the goods!) that 9bar have launched a savoury range  – a brand new twist on the original 9bars!

The unique Savoury 9bars are packed with at least 75% delicious seeds and come in 4 great varieties; Anglesey Sea Salt, Cracked Black Pepper, Sweet Chilli and only for the brave, Firecracker Chilli(!). All varieties are gluten, dairy, and wheat free, are suitable for vegans and contain less than 2g of sugar or saturated fat per bar. In comparison to the regular 9bars they are smaller (30g vs. 50g) and have much less carbs and sugar e.g. per 100g the sugar content is reduced from ~25g to just ~3g. The bars are also consequently a lot lower in calories – around 165Kcal compared to the regular bars which are ~260Kcal. The protein and fat stats/100g are very similar.

Anglesey Sea Salt Flavour (30g):

166 Kcal, 5.9g Protein, 6g Carbs (0.9g sugars), 12.7g Fat, 2.1g Fibre.

Savoury 9bar

My Verdict? If you’re after a lighter snack bar and have a savoury, rather than a sweet tooth, then these bars are for you. They are bursting with seed goodness and make the perfect on the go snack. I will however be sticking with the regular 9bars topped with carob (I have a sweet tooth and reckon that the taste is worth the higher calorie price tag!).. but in case you’re wondering.. Sweet Chilli (you guessed it!) is my favourite out of the savoury bars 🙂

I hope you’ve found this mini-review useful! – do let me know if you try the bars and what you think!
