These cookies are amazing.
They take literally 5 minutes to make, use only 2 (without the protein powder) to 3 ingredients (plus extras IF wanted), and take just 15-20 minutes to bake; they are the ideal in-between meal snack or pre/post workout energy boost.
If you don’t have whey protein simply use a low calorie hot chocolate powder!
3 Ingredient Protein Cookies
Ingredients
- 60-90g (~1 cup) oats; or more if your bananas are large!
- 2 ripe bananas (or 200g apple puree)
- 1 scoop (~25-30g) protein powder
- Optional: 2 tsp peanut butter & 70g (~1/2 cup) dark chocolate chips or dried fruit & seeds - I used goji berries & sunflower seeds.
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 175 degrees C (350 degrees F)
- Mash your bananas with a fork (or add apple puree to your bowl)
- Add your protein powder and mix (add a tbsp of almond milk or water if needed)
- Mix in your oats (and any optional ingredients)
- Dollop your cookie mixture onto baking paper or a greased baking tray to make 10 cookies
- Bake for 15-20 minutes

Hi all! Love these cookies especially as you can turn them into any flavour you like! I like to use milled Flaxseeds instead of the protein powder! Basic cookies are 71cals and 1.9g of fat each! Yum! Enjoy!

So easy to make and taste great! So handy to pack for work to stop the temptation of poor snacking. Once you’ve made it’s so easy to add extra ingredients as you please.

Aw thanks for your lovely comment Karen! They’re super easy aren’t they. I love them!!
These are so delicious and so versatile!! You can add all kinds of things – peanut/almond butter, sultanas or other dried fruit, chopped nuts, chia seeds, (helps it to bind together as well, if used with a little milk of your choice!) and they always turn out perfect!! Hip hip for Nic!!

Thanks Niamh! Great pic on Instagram 🙂 And you skipped the protein powder and it still worked well!! (3 mashed bananas, 1.5 cups oats, tsp pb, 2 handfuls sultanas, handful chopped almonds, 3 brazil nuts).. (baked for 18 mins).. you should check out my breakfast cookies too! Nic xx

I love these. Made a massive batch to last a few days. Trying to use up stuff in my cupboards so added chocolate protein powder, mixed seeds, health mix and some blueberries. I love the blueberries cos they pop in the oven and taste delicious!

Oooh they sound amazing! Thanks for your comment Jenni. They really are super simple to make hey, and so delicious!! x
It has just taken longer for the oven to heat up than it took me to get all the ingredients out of the cupboard, mix them up and get them on a baking tray!
I have used the milk powder & stevia and gone for the optionals of peanut butter and raisins. Just waiting for them to cook now, could not have been more simple. They are my mid morning or afternoon snack for lunch boxes this week. Thank you!

These were so lovely and easy to make. I was cheering as I brought them out of the oven as I’m a rubbish cook but these were fool proof 🙂 Im considering making a batch every Sunday to have over the week as a healthy snack at work 🙂 x

Made these for a bake sale as a healthy alternative. Added blueberries to the mix and dipped the bottom of the cookies in chocolate. I also used MyProtein instant oats as they’re really fine, and they tasted absolutely amazing! Such a quick and easy recipe I ended up make 2 batches :). I think I’ll be making these every week! Going to try these but have one question, what could I use instead of protein powder?? Have never tried protein powder.
Author
You could use hot chocolate powder, or more oats 🙂 xx
Hi! Just made a batch using rocky road flavoured protein from theproteinworks, absolutely delicous smelling and so easy to make, can’t wait to try them!!! Thankyou 😀
Author
Omg that flavour sounds amazing!! Thanks so much for telling me about it!!
Hi! I’m just wondering if anyone has tried these with unflavoured protein powder? It’s all we have in and I usually can’t stand the taste…hopefully the other ingredients would mask it?!?! Thanks 🙂 xx
Author
Hello! I think they have but you must add stevia/vanilla/cinnamon/cocoa etc! xx
Would these work with a different protein powder e.g. pea protein?
Author
I don’t see why not! If they seem a little dry add a dash of milk 🙂
Would I be bake to grind the oatmeal to make the cookie have a smoother texture?
Author
Of course!
This recipe sounds great I’m going to try them today but I was just wondering how long do they keep for?
Author
Hello! A few days in an air tight container.. but they never last that long in my house 😉 x
Love this recipe! Made them lots of times, I usually add peanut butter and milled superfood mix. Do you have the nutrition information on these, cals etc? I can’t seem to see it on here but I might just be being thick lol.

Hello! OOh YUM! Yes it’s in the blue and white box – but you could add the ingredients into the recipe bit on myfitnesspal to double check 🙂 xx
Absolutely nutritious and delicious ‘da bomb’, ‘fist pump’, delectable cookies ever! I even snuck in a 1/3 cup cooked quinoa in and my witty boys had no idea when they wolfed them down! Hats off to the chef!
