Healthy Iced Green Tea Smoothie Recipes

Healthy Iced Green Tea Smoothie Recipes

Hey guys! So last week I asked on social media what you wanted to see more of on my blog and so many of you said ‘healthy product discoveries’. Bearing that in mind, in this blog post I’m going to show you how to make 3 delicious, dairy-free smoothies using Iced Green Teas from Tg as the smoothie liquid.

I’ve mentioned Tg’s drinks on social media before but in case you haven’t heard of them they are the lowest in sugar iced tea on the market, and one of the only iced green teas, ready to drink that you will find. The tea is British brewed and bottled and makes an ideal liquid base for smoothies as well as for a drink on the go. And as you can see they are all ‘green’ on the traffic light label, which is why I love them!

Most iced teas contains well over 20g of sugar and contain over 100 calories where as these only contain 7g of sugar and provide just 30 calories. They’re even less than most coconut waters as well as fruit juices.

So now you know all about the smoothie base, of which I’m going to be using two of their flavours; the Ginseng one and the Ginseng & Mandarin one, which is my personal favourite, I’ll talk you through the recipes which all serve 2 people.

First up is a delicious Peach & Mandarine Green Tea Smoothie which you make using 1/2 a peach, 1/2 a banana, 1/2 a pear, 1/2 a mandarine & 330ml of Ginseng & Mandarin green tea. This has got to be my favourite smoothie because I love the orangey taste and in my opinion it makes a perfect mid-afternoon pick me up!

Serves 2 – 74 calories, 19g carbs, 0.2g fat, 1g protein and 2.4g fibre each.

Next up is my partner’s favourite which you make using one bottle of the original Ginseng Iced Green Tea, 1/2 banana, the juice of 1/4 of a lime, a 1/4 of an avocado and 1/2 a pear. You can add more or less lime and avocado depending on your taste preferences and this smoothie is a great way of getting 1 of your 5 a day as well as some healthy fats!

Serves 2 – 80 calories, 14.6g carbs, 2.7g fat, 0.7g protein and 2.6g fibre each.

My last smoothie is a delicious pink smoothie made from 1 plum, a small handful or 4 strawberries, 1/2 banana, 1/4 tsp ginger and 330ml of the Ginseng & Mandarin (or Jujube & Ginseng) green tea. I love this smoothie in a morning as the ginger adds such a warming yet energising taste.

Serves 2 – 65 calories, 16g carbs, 0.3g fat, 0.8g protein and 1.7g fibre each.
