Healthy Turkey Burgers
Ingredients
- 400g minced turkey breast
- 1 diced red pepper
- 2 diced small onion
- 100g fat-free Greek style yoghurt
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic granules (or 2 cloves minced)
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Optional: 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Mix together the turkey, pepper, onion, yoghurt, Worcestershire sauce and herbs/spices. Optional: Use a hand-blender or food processor to blend the ingredients together (to ensure an even distribution of the flavours)
- Make into 6 pattie shapes and place on grease proof/baking paper on a plate. Cover and chill for at least an hour (up to 24 hours, so you can make these the day before if needed)
- Spray a non-stick pan with 1 calorie spray oil and fry the burgers on both sides until cooked (~8-10 mins)
- Serve in a burger bun with salad or with sweet potato wedges and salad
Notes
Tip: to make the burgers cook quicker 'pat' them down a little once in the pan
