How to Make Apple Crisps

How to Make Apple Crisps

Apple crisps are a great little healthy snack. They are bursting with vitamins, minerals and fibre, are virtually fat-free and taste delicious!

You can bake apple crisps with so many different flavours but my favourite has to be cinnamon. Do let me know what your favourite additions are!

I personally prefer to eat these crisps on the day that they are baked :).

Apple Crisps

Ingredients

  • 3 Pink Lady Apples*
  • spray oil
  • cinnamon or lemmon juice

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees C (140 degrees fan)
  2. THINLY slice your apples (1-2mm thick) and place them on a baking rack over a tray covered with foil
  3. Sprinkle/spray/brush on your chosen toppings
  4. Bake your apple thins in the oven for 20 minutes before flipping over, adding a touch more of your toppings and bake for 20 minutes more
  5. Allow to cool & store in an air tight container

Notes

*You can use other apples but Pink Lady apples hold their colour a lot better once sliced!

Made some of these this evening with a little cinnamon. Thanks for the idea, they turned out great!

Tempted to try with a really light dusting of cocoa next time too.

A few days! They’re too irresistable to last any longer 😉

    Hi Nic,
Would I be able to do this but with small chunks instead of slices? I am just thinking it would taste lovely with my porridge in the morning!

Yes Natalie! Or you could do slices and then chop them up with scissors 🙂 Good luck! xx

Hi Nat! It would make the apples a lovely chewy consistency rather than crispy but that would be the only difference 🙂
